TALLO EVENT IDEA COMPETITION

Hello Tallo members,

We are hosting an event competition throughout January 2023!

Tallo will be hosting events throughout 2023 and we want to hear your ideas and help make them come to life. Post your event idea today for your chance to have your event produced, promoted, and become a reality!

REQUIREMENTS

Must be at least 13+ years of age
Event ideas must be appropriate and follow the Tallo Community code of conduct
This must be your own work and not plagiarized
Multiple event ideas submissions are ok
Selected winning events are subject to change and will go through a planning session with Tallo to determine the scope and details of the event
January 31st, 2023
The winners will be announced on February 3rd, 2023

The non-profit organization I have been volunteering at (is a family business, I'm part of the family but I volunteer) we do a lot for our community. We have done little kits for the girls including nail polish, nail files, and the basic necessities. We have delivered snacks and food during the covid-19 pandemic. And just recently we provided for thanksgiving and for Christmas we made the kids take a friendly survey and they got gifts based on the survey(based on things they liked.).We did a first come first serve of basic necessities including dish soap, toilet paper, and canned foods. I'm thinking now that we are going into a food shortage we can get beans and rice, canned foods, and things like that and give them to people who need them!!!!!

Hi there,

Everyone is coming up with creative ideas. I can't wait to see these presentations.

I have one observation.

I noticed a few presentation ideas are repetitive. As a result, many of the members votes are being split between similar potential presentations. Also the same potential presentation material is close to groups already established on Tallo. ( I will mention in next paragraph, for those of you who do not know, what a Tallo group is.)

I know and understand many of you are new to Tallo and may not have had the opportunity to explore Tallo to its fullest. (I know I still have a lot to learn about the site as well) Did or do you know about the groups that exist already? You can join any one of the groups or all of the groups if you want. At the top of the Tallo Community page is a TAB labeled groups, click on that TAB and you will see all the group names and what the group is about.

These established groups have topics and materials that have been presented or are still being presented on the community, to Tallo members. Most of those groups are facilitated by a Tallo member and the material has already been discussed and or possibly placed on YouTube under Tallo.

I am requesting please that before you share your ideas to the Tallo Community, check and see if that material is already being discussed or has been discussed. This way there won't be repeated material and if someone is looking for some information on that material they can go to the group and look at the material already researched and shared.

Thank you for this @dcadi, I noticed how my “Prepared for what’s next?” event idea is very similar to the purpose of 2 groups.

Due to that I would like to ask the @Tallo Community Manager to remove the event idea if possible.
