I'm thinking about being an agriscience teacher and am wondering how to get a teaching certificate the quickest way possible. I won't be majoring in ag education. I'll be working a major in Animal Science and minor in Business.
One idea is to go to an online course to get certified. It can be more affordable and more flexible than an in-person certification program. You are going into a really cool field right now! Let me know if these links help you.
I don't know about Texas, but I think most states give you a few years to get a teaching license. I know here it is three years, but I'd google the laws for Texas.
Here are some websites @goat1master welcome to the community. Great career goal. I don't know if just certification would make you an agriscience teacher. but here is the information on it.
To become an agricultural teacher, you must have at least a bachelor's degree in agriculture science or a closely related field of study and complete a teaching training program. Completion of a program in agricultural education might qualify you for immediate entry into the field.
Thanks, cab. Very helpful!
No problem! Glad I could help.
